Dr Martin firmly believes that surgery isn’t always the first answer. He actively listens to his patients, taking the time to understand their unique needs and concerns. This empathetic approach ensures that the decision-making process is a shared one. He also avoids medical jargon to foster clear, open communication, ensuring that his patients make the decision that’s right for them, with full comprehension and confidence.
Dr Martin also understands that surgery can sometimes be daunting, and even painful. He’s passionate about minimising post-operative discomfort, firmly believing that patients should not need an exceptionally high pain tolerance to recover successfully from joint replacement surgery. Dr Martin’s commitment to excellence extends beyond the operating room. The National Joint Replacement Registry is just one of the resources he harnesses to maintain the highest standards.
